Announcement

A meeting of the newly appointed board of directors of Huaneng Power International, Inc. (the “Company”) was convened on 6th June, 2000. It was resolved that:

1. Mr. Li Xiaopeng was elected to continue to act as the Chairman of the Board of Directors;
2. Mr. Wang Xiaosong was elected to continue to act as the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors;
3. Mr. Huang Long,the director of the Company, was appointed as the Company Secretary; and
4. Mr. Ju Zhanghua ceased to act as the Company Secretary of the Company. The Company are satisfactory to Mr. Ju’s performance in discharging his duty as the Company Secretary and his work is highly appreciated by the Company.
