European media network operator expands its fiber network with Net Insights Nimbra platform

Stockholm, Sweden – Net Insight, a leading developer of efficient and scalable optical transport solutions for media, IP and broadcast networks, today announced its expansion order from a major European media network operator to expand its Nimbra based media network to support growing customer demands.

The company operates a global satellite and fiber network providing worldwide transmission services for broadcasters. The fiber network interconnects multiple sites in Europe, Asia and the United States and is based on Net Insight's Nimbra platform.

The operator is now extending its fiber network with additional Nimbra 680 and Nimbra 360 nodes to efficiently transport media traffic for a European TV network.

The equipment will be delivered in June 2009.
