TRADING HALT
The securities of Reed Resources Limited (the "Company") will be placed in pre-open at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in pre-open until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Thursday, 13 August 2009 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT
Pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1, Reed Resources Ltd (ASX Code:RDR) requests an immediate halt in relation to its ordinary shares.
The reason for the request is to facilitate an orderly market in the company's securities pending an anticipated announcement by the company of an asset acquisition.
The trading halt is to last until the earlier of the time of the announcement and the commencement of trading on Thursday, 13 August 2009.
Reed Resources Ltd is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted.
