TRADING HALT
The securities of Reed Resources Limited (the "Company") will be placed in Trading Halt Session State at the request of the Company, pending the release of an announcement by the Company. Unless ASX decides otherwise, the securities will remain in Trading Halt Session State until the earlier of the commencement of normal trading on Wednesday 4 April 2012 or when the announcement is released to the market.

REQUEST FOR TRADING HALT
Pursuant to Listing Rule 17.1, Reed Resources Ltd (Reed) requests that ASX grant a trading halt with respect to its ordinary shares (ASX: RDR) from the commencement of trading today, 2 April 2012.
The trading halt is requested pending an announcement to the market in relation to a capital raising. Reed requests that the trading halt remain in place until the earlier of the commencement of trading on 4 April 2012 or the time Reed makes an announcement regarding the capital raising.
Reed is not aware of any reason why the trading halt should not be granted and does not have any other information about the trading halt that is necessary to inform the market.
