Reed Resources Announces Appointment of Highly Credentialed Director, Dr Vanessa Guthrie

Australian diversified resources company Reed Resources Ltd ( ASX: RDR ) (the “Company” or “Reed Resources”) is pleased to advise that it has appointed Dr Vanessa Guthrie as a Non Executive Director, effectively immediately.
Dr Guthrie’s appointment follows an extensive search for a candidate for the position, following a board initiated skills assessment, as the Company wanted to ensure it had necessary personnel in place as it undergoes a significant transformation to a commodity project developer.
Reed Resources Managing Director, Chris Reed, said Dr Guthrie brings a diverse array of skills and experience to the Company’s Board.
“To coincide with the progress towards production of its key Mt Marion Lithium, Meekatharra Gold and Barrambie Vanadium projects, and to ensure it has the necessary skills in place to optimise the development of these assets, the Reed Resources Board searched for a suitably qualified person – and Vanessa, with her strong mining and environmental background and credentials, is the perfect fit,” Chris Reed said.
“Vanessa’s experience and attributes, will add considerably to the diversity of skills of the existing executive and non- executive teams and we believe she will play a key role in enhancing our project development capabilities,” Mr Reed concluded.
Dr Guthrie’s more than 20 years of experience in the Australian resources sector covers roles ranging from Company Secretary to Mine Manager of Australia’s largest bauxite operation and with companies the calibre of Woodside Energy Ltd, Alcoa World Alumina Australia, WMC Resources, RGC Limited, Goldfields Limited and Pasminco Ltd.

During her time within the resources sector Dr Guthrie has also worked across many key commodities, including nickel, gold, alumina, lead/zinc, copper, tin and oil & gas.
