Revenue fourth quarter 2020 higher than expected

Nedap announces that revenue in the fourth quarter of 2020 shows a growth of almost 3% compared with the same period in 2019. Therefore, the quarterly revenue has developed better than the reported expectation in the press release of 20 October 2020, where a decrease in revenue was foreseen. For the full year 2020, revenue is 1% lower than the €191.5 million realized in 2019.

As in previous quarters, revenue growth compared to last year from the business units Healthcare and Livestock Management continued unabated. Security Management also showed an increase in revenue in the fourth quarter, albeit moderate, compared to 2019. The business units Identification Systems and Light Controls showed a similar decline in the fourth quarter as in previous quarters, following a relatively high revenue in the fourth quarter of 2019. The decrease in the quarterly revenue compared to 2019 of the business units Retail and Staffing Solutions was less than the previous quarters.

Also in the fourth quarter, customer orders were delivered on time and at the same time the inventories continued to decrease despite the often volatile demand per individual product.

The revenue figures have not yet been externally audited. The audited annual figures 2020, including the financial results, will be published on 18 February 2021. The 2020 annual report will be published on the website on 23 February 2021.
