£140,000,000 6.00% Permanent Interest Bearing Shares (the PIBS)

(ISIN: GB00B120GX99)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Issuer that it has made a request to the Financial Conduct Authority (the FCA) and to the London Stock Exchange plc (the LSE) for the PIBS to be removed from the Official List maintained by the FCA and for their admission to trading on the LSE to be cancelled. As notified in the notice of redemption given by the Issuer on 17 October 2016 with RNS Number 7254M, the Issuer has obtained Relevant Supervisory Consent and redeemed the PIBS on 15 December 2016.

Unless otherwise defined in this Notice, terms used in this Notice have the meanings given to them in the terms of the PIBS.
