Our AGM is your opportunity to have your say on the way your Society is run and to vote on the people standing for your Society's Board. We'd love you to do so.
To keep our members and colleagues safe, reluctantly we're asking members not to attend the AGM in person. You can, however, watch the event online and ask questions by following the instructions in this notice.
See the Review of the year leaflet for a summary of those items. From 16 June 2021, you'll find our full Annual Report and Accounts at
The vote is advisory. The Directors' right to remuneration does not depend on this
The Board is proposing the re-appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as the Society's Auditors, subject to member approval at the AGM.

You can vote
All Directors on the Board as at 4 April 2021 are standing for election or re-election apart from Rita Clifton who is stepping down at the end of this year's AGM. The Chair confirms that all of the Directors looking to be elected or to be re-elected continue to be effective and are strongly committed to the role.
This AGM is your opportunity to say whether you're happy with the way your Society is being run. If you are, the Board recommends you vote 'For' each of the resolutions and 'For' the election or re-election of each of the Directors.
Jason Wright, Secretary. 30 April 2021.
By voting online or by post, you are appointing the Chair (or if they are able to attend the meeting, anyone else you appoint) to vote in your place. You can also tell the Chair (or the person you appoint) how to vote at the meeting. If you'd like to do this, just follow the instructions on your Voting Form or on the online voting site.
The explanatory notes to the business of the AGM are set out in blue boxes above. These are for information purposes only and do not form part of this Notice of AGM.
You'll be able to watch the AGM live online from 11am on Thursday 22 July. Just visit
This year, you can do more than watch the meeting online, you can also ask questions. We'll try and get through as many as we can.
If you'd like to ask a question before the AGM, why not join us at one of our Online Member TalkBacks? This year, we'll be holding one the week before the AGM on Thursday 15 July at 11am with members of the Board.

Post: The Secretary,
Throughout the pandemic, our primary focus has been on keeping our members and colleagues safe.
And in April when we were planning our event, we were aware that even if everything goes to plan, the virus will still be present in the UK at the time of our AGM.
So we decided we could best keep our members and colleagues safe by holding our AGM with just the minimum number of colleague members present in person.
Just in case our thinking changes, you can find our latest AGM news at
Principal Office: Nationwide House, Pipers Way, Swindon, Wiltshire SN38 1NW.
