Notification of change of auditor
Nanosonics (ASX: NAN) advises that the Company has reviewed the role of its auditor. In accordance with good governance practice, and following a competitive tender, the Company has resolved to appoint Ernst & Young as its auditor.
As required by section 329(5) of the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth) (Corporations Act), the Australian Securities and Investments Commission has consented to the resignation of UHY Haines Norton as the auditor of Nanosonics, and UHY Haines Norton has provided written notice of its resignation to Nanosonics effective at the conclusion of the Company’s Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on 3 November 2017.
The Corporations Act requires that shareholders approve the appointment of the new auditor. Accordingly, the appointment of Ernst & Young is subject to an ordinary resolution of shareholders at the Company’s Annual General Meeting. If the resolution is passed, the appointment of Ernst & Young will take effect from that date.
The Board of Directors would like to take this opportunity to thank UHY Haines Norton for their past assistance and services to the Company.
