Announcement to the Australian Securities Exchange

The Rock and MyState welcome Treasurer approval for merger

The Rock Building Society Limited (The Rock) and MyState Limited (MyState) have today welcomed approval by the Federal Treasurer for their proposed merger.

This approval was a key regulatory condition of the merger which is now satisfied.

The Rock’s Board continues to recommend that shareholders vote in favour of the Scheme at the Scheme meeting, in the absence of a superior proposal. Shareholders are encouraged to attend the Scheme meeting in Rockhampton on Monday, 28[th] November 2011 or to vote by proxy through completing the proxy form they have received.
