Hobart, Friday, 28 March 2014: MyState Limited has announced the retirement of Managing Director Mr John Gilbert.

Mr Hampton said, “It is never an easy task merging businesses and John leaves us having completed the task well. He has also overseen the implementation of a new core banking system that went live in November last year which is an important milestone.
“John leaves us having positioned the Company for future growth,” Mr Hampton said.
Mr Gilbert will step down from the role on 31 March 2014 and Chief Operating Officer, Tim Rutherford, has been appointed acting CEO from that date.
Mr Hampton said the Company had appointed an executive recruitment firm in January to assist the Board in the selection of a replacement CEO and the process was well advanced.
