APPOINTMENT OF CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

SECOS Group Limited (“ SECOS” or “the Company” ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Edmond Tern as Chief Financial Officer of the Company, effective from 1 August 2016. Edmond will replace current CFO Trevor Haines, who will transition to a Corporate Development role charged with expanding sales of the Company’s sustainable bioplastic technology to key customers. Trevor will continue to serve on the Board.

Edmond will be responsible for all treasury, finance, accounting and compliance functions of the Company, with a particular emphasis on management of expenses relative to the Company’s growing revenues to assist in reaching early profitability to support the Company’s expansion plans.

Edmond brings over 25 years’ manufacturing accounting experience across a number of Australian and multinational businesses. Edmond started his career with Amcor Limited where he held cost accounting roles at various plants and locations. After 13 years in the packaging industry, Edmond held senior finance roles in the automotive, hardware and security systems industries, where he was involved in process re-engineering and business turnarounds.

During his tenure as Asia Pacific Controller of a Swedish multinational ASSA Abloy, Edmond successfully integrated several acquisitions across the Asian region, leveraging his multi-lingual skills. Most recently, Edmond has just completed a four-year tenure as finance director of Q Technology Group Limited, an ASX listed security systems distribution company.

Edmond is fluent in Chinese (Mandarin) and Malay and holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Windsor, Canada. He is also a member of CPA Australia with a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Accounting from Monash University.

Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Richard Tegoni said:

In addition, his multi-lingual skills will be invaluable in overseeing the finance functions of SECOS’s manufacturing operations in China and Malaysia. I am excited to have Trevor performing the Corporate Development role and with his focus we will see the Company’s strategic objectives realised earlier.”
