BOARD CHANGES
Following the successful acquisition of Biograde Limited, the Board of Cardia Technologies Limited (“Cardia”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr John Scheirs to the Board.
Dr Scheirs was appointed a non-executive Director of Biograde Limited in May 2004 and is a plastics technologist with a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from the University of Melbourne. He specialises in the analysis, development and recycling of plastics and is the author of over 50 published articles and chapters on plastics / polymers, polymer stabilisation, polymer manufacturing, polymer compounding and polymer recycling including the leading book on plastics recycling, “Polymer Recycling Science, Technology and Applications”, John Wiley & Sons, Great Britain, 1998.
Dr Scheirs has a high profile both nationally and internationally in the plastics recycling and polymer degradation fields and is a member of the editorial board of the international journal “Polymer Degradation and Stabilisation”, Elsevier Scientific, the Netherlands.
Mr Robin Armstrong has resigned from the Cardia Board and will join Mr Pat Volpe and Mr Peter Pena on the Board of Rio Minerals Pty Ltd.
Rio Minerals Pty Ltd will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Cardia and will hold all the issued shares in Cam Bow Holdings (Pty) Ltd which is presently Cardia’s whollyowned subsidiary in Botswana and holds all the Prospecting Licences, principally for uranium, in that country.
