conVISUAL AG: conVISUAL improved its results in 2005 – 50% growth in turnover
Corporate news transmitted by DGAP – a company of EquityStory AG. The issuer is solely responsible for the content of this announcement. —————————————————————————— conVISUAL, Oberhausen-based full service provider for interactive viewer services, has recorded a strong increase in turnover and a improvement of all relevant operating figures. In 2005, conVISUAL generated a turnover of EUR 9.6 million, which is an improvement of around 50%, compared to the turnover of EUR 6.4 million generated in 2004. The EBITDA could be raised from minus EUR 1.03 million, achieved in the previous year, to minus EUR 0.51 million. The annual deficit was improved by EUR 0.9 million to minus EUR 0.15 million. The biggest part of the turnover with EUR 6.4 million was generated in the business field ‘Enabling Services’, through realization of Premium SMS, SMS and MMS campaigns for customers from media and telecommunication industry. The lucrative product area ‘Mobile Applications’, including download and messaging services as well as the strategic growth segment “Mobile Interactive TV“, had an approximate share of EUR 2.7 million in the overall turnover. Because of conVISUAL’s strong market position in this segment, its interactive viewer services have been used by big TV broadcasters, e.g. ARD (ARD Morning Show), ProSieben (‘Sarah and Marc in Love’, ‘Die Abschlussklasse’), RTL II (‘Big Brother’) and MTV (‘Get the Clip’). ‘Content Licensing’ made a contribution of EUR 0.5 million to the positive business development. In 2006, conVISUAL will extend its product and service portfolio and open up further markets, in particular, the North American market. The special focus will be put on TV projects with interactive viewer services. Europe’s lead over the United States in the mobile telecommunication sector offers very good market opportunities for conVISUAL. For 2006, the managing board expects a significant increase in turnover, compared to the year before. The results of 2006 will be negative. conVISUAL is a Full Service Provider for Interactive Viewer Services for the present and coming mobile network standards. conVISUAL opens the market of innovative and high-volume messaging services for network operators, media companies, portals and consumer goods companies.
