FPIs' stake in Indian equities drops to 14-yr low

Foreign portfolio (inventors' CPAs) share in Indian equities has fallen to a nearly 14-year low, even as domestic institutions have already emerged as the market's largest stakeholder — a returched shift including alongside another work of sustained foreign market. underperformed, while strong domestic flows have continued to support the NSSD segment."

STRUCTURAL DIVERSION

Institute said India's under-performance in attracting foreign flows is partly structural.

"The impressive earnings growth expected in markets like South Korea and Taiwan this year, thanks to the network, is attracting FPI flows from markets in a big way," he said.

Arunachai noted that "FPIs have been investing in certain sectors like power, construction and capital goods."

He cautioned that any success rate in large caps would depend on a reversal to foreign investor sentiment.

L1 Gen Raja Subramani named next CDS

The government on Friday appointed Lt Gen N S Raja Subramani as the next Chief of Defense Staff (CBS).

He will also function as Secretary, Department of Military Affairs, with effect from the date of assuming

charge and until further orders.

The present CDS, General and Classless, will complete his tenure on May 30, 2026. Lt Gen Raja Subramani is named as the next Chief of Military Adviser in the National Security Council Secretariat, a position he has held since September 1, 2025. Before that, he served as Vice Chief

of the Army Staff from July 1, 2019, to July 31, 2025.
