Item 2.04. Triggering Events That Accelerate or Increase a Direct Financial Obligation or an Obligation under an Off-Balance Sheet Arrangement

On July 16, 2021, Murphy Oil Corporation (the “Company”) issued a notice of partial redemption with respect to $150,000,000 aggregate principal amount of its 6.875% senior notes due 2024 (the “Notes”). The Company will redeem the Notes at the applicable redemption price set forth in the indenture governing the Notes, plus accrued and unpaid interest, if any, to, but not including, the date of redemption. The redemption date of the Notes will be August 16, 2021.

This Current Report on Form 8-K does not constitute a notice of redemption of the Notes.
