Müller-Die lila Logistik receives additional order from Valeo

The sender is solely responsible for the contents of this announcement. ——————————————————————————– Müller-Die lila Logistik AG receives additional order from VALEO Wischersysteme GmbH Customer relations at the Besigheim site further strengthened Besigheim, 21 April 2004 – VALEO Wischersysteme GmbH, based in Bietigheim-Bissingen, transfers further logistics services to Müller-Die lila Logistik AG. The co-operation between the two companies which has been maintained since March 2001 will now be further expanded. The services agreement about all previous and newly contracted services is for 5 years and a two-digit sales volume over the total duration. Scope of future services The services which will be taken over by Müller-Die lila Logistik AG by 30/06/2004 step by step cover: – Inbound production logistics for the Bietigheim production plant – Outbound production logistics including the organisation of finished goods distribution to a selected group of customers, and – the management of VALEO`s OEM specific empties and demand for empties. For the first time in the co-operation between these two companies, Müller-Die lila Logistik AG consolidates the component parts of the suppliers and provides the inbound production supplies of VALEO in accordance with just-in-time call-offs. In future, the logistics services will supply the production parts in three shifts operating 24 hours per day. In addition, the logistics platform of Müller-Die lila Logistik AG at the Besigheim location will be used to handle the “inter-company flow of goods”. This means that the component parts of Wischer Systeme produced by VALEO-Bietigheim will be distributed to numerous VALEO plants in Europe. Previous order volume Since the year 2001, Müller-Die lila Logistik AG has been handling outbound production logistics of the Bietigheim-based production plant of VALEO for parts of the customer distribution section. The scope covered the receipt and acceptance of goods, individual packagings and the organisation of the freight carriers as well as administrative services. Furthermore, Müller-Die lila Logistik AG handles the procurement of packaging means for production.
