Müller – Die lila Logistik AG: Organic growth continues in Q3 as well

Müller – Die lila Logistik AG was able to increase the group`s sales in Q3 even further. On the same quarter of last year, sales grew by 20.3 % to 20,751 k€ (previous year: 17,244 k€). In the first nine months of the year 2006, the Lila Logistik Group achieved sales revenues of 61,300 k€ (previous year: 53,147 k€). This is equivalent to a 15.3 % organic growth or 8,153 k€. At the end of the 9-month period 2006, profits for the period amounted to 911 k€ despite the additional capacity building costs and thus were at the level of last year (previous year: 921 k€). The equity ratio was 25.4 % as of 30 September 2006. Development of the business segments The planning and consulting services of the LOGISTICS DESIGN segment made sales amounting to 1,972 k€ (previous year: 2,721 k€) in the first three quarters of 2006. Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) were 344 k€ and, as a consequence, lower than in the same period last year (previous year: 659 k€). In the LOGISTICS OPERATING segment which provides operative logistics services, sales were up 17.7 % and amounted to 59,379 k€ (previous year: 50,464 k€). Earnings before interest and taxes climbed 8.8 % to 1,429 k€ (previous year 1,314 k€). Cash flow, investments and equity ratio As of 30 September 2006, the Lila Logistik Group had liquid assets amounting to 1,123 k€ (previous year 1,093 k€). The cash inflow posted from the operating business was 233 k€ (previous year 1,848 k€). Due to the higher investment activities in 2006, cash outflows totalled 3,025 k€ (previous year: 393 k€). The cash flow generated by financing activities reflects the investment activities of the Lila Logistik Group and amounted to 2,827 k€ (previous year: -1,635 k€). In the first three quarters of 2006, the Lila Logistik Group in total invested 3,249 k€ (previous year: 1,006 k€). The equity rose to 11,874 k€ (31/12/2005: 10,963 k€) in the 9-month period under review; the balance sheet total increased to 46,719 k€ (31/12/2005: 43,285 k€), primarily due to the investments currently underway. Staff As of the key date 30 September 2006, the number of staff employed by the Lila Logistik Group was 933 (previous year: 863). Prospect ‘In 2006, we have been able to consistently increase our sales volume and to start one of the largest investments of the Lila Logistik Group,’ says Michael Müller, CEO of the Lila Logistik Group, commenting on the publication of the 9-month figures. Due to the high sales posted during the last nine months, Müller – Die lila Logistik AG expects to achieve total sales of 80 million Euro in the fiscal year 2006. The Herne property was sold as announced in the ad-hoc release of 22 September 2006 in early November. As a result of this property transaction, the annual profit will considerably improve.
