Mühlbauer akquiriert von Focus Automation Systems aus Kanada die Produktlinie CardScan sowie die Rechte, die Karteninspektionstechnologie basierend auf der CyberScan-Inspektionsplattform von Focus weiterzuentwickeln und zu vermarkten. Diese Akquisition erweitert Mühlbauers Produktpalette und schließt die Prozesskette im SmartCard- und SmartLabel-Bereich – beginnend vom Chip zum fertigen Produkt. Ebenso wird damit die Möglichkeit geschaffen, durch die weltweit schnellste Scantechnologie eine vollständig integrierte, vollautomatische, zuverlässige und qualitativ hochwertige Fertigung zu gewährleisten. Diese Vereinbarung weitet den Vertrieb der CardScan-Technologie weltweit aus und sorgt für Synergien zwischen CardScan und den anderen Mühlbauer-Produkten. Innerhalb kürzester Zeit wird Mühlbauer die Karteninspektionsmaschine im vorhandenen Produktportfolio integrieren mit dem Ziel, angesichts wachsender Kundenansprüche weiterhin schlüsselfertige Produktionslösungen anzubieten. Mühlbauer stärkt damit seine Position am nordamerikanischen Markt für SmartCards und wird seine Marktposition auch auf den Wachstumsmärkten Asien und Südamerika ausbauen. Mühlbauer continues to extend its technology and market leadership in production solutions for SmartCards. Mühlbauer has acquired from Focus Automation Systems of Canada the CardScan product and the rights to develop and market the card inspection technology based on Focus’s CyberScan inspection platform. This acquisition extends Mühlbauer’s range of products and completes the process chain in the production of SmartCards and SmartLabels – from the chip to the final product. It is now possible to guarantee fully integrated, automated, reliable and high-value manufacturing using the world’s fastest scanning technology. This agreement extends CardScan’s distribution world-wide and builds synergies between CardScan and other Mühlbauer products. Mühlbauer will integrate the card inspection machine into its existing portfolio of leading SmartCard equipment within shortest time – providing turn-key production solutions to meet growing customers’ needs.
