111 new student apartments: MPC Capital celebrates Staytoo opening in Leipzig

Germany’s third Staytoo location opens its doors on October 1

– All-in rentals from EUR 449

Hamburg/Leipzig, September 28, 2017 – MPC Capital AG is opening its third Staytoo Micro Apartment House in Leipzig in time for the start of the 2017/2018 winter semester. The Staytoo Leipzig is located in the up-and-coming “Südvorstadt” area of Leipzig in close proximity to the University of Applied Sciences (Hochschule für Technik, Wirtschaft und Kultur – HTWK) and the University of Telecommunications (HfTL). The five-storey building located at Karl-Liebknecht-Straße 144 offers 111 apartments and various communal areas on a living space of 2,390 m 2 .

The apartments are equipped with stylish furniture from KARE, a bathroom and a kitchenette and have an average size of 21 m 2 . The all-in rent for a furnished apartment starts from EUR 449 per month and includes all additional costs such as electricity, water, heating and internet. A washing lounge, bicycle garage and common-part areas are free of charge.

Around 36,000 young people are currently studying at Leipzig’s universities – and the trend is still rising. The increasing number of national and international students, combined with increased mobility on the one hand and a general lack of housing on the other, makes it difficult to find suitable accommodation. The demand for high quality apartments that meet the demands of today’s students is constantly increasing. Staytoo closes this gap with a range of modern living solutions with high comfort.

Staytoo apartments are already available in Nuremberg and Bonn. Further locations in Kaiserslautern and Berlin will be added shortly. MPC Capital is continuously expanding its activities and to date has invested around EUR 150 million in micro living projects to address the shortage of housing for students, young professionals and commuters.
