MPCC - Disclosure of Large Shareholding and Mandatory Notification of Trade

Star Spike Limited (the "Vendor") has today sold 27,500,000 shares in MPC

Container Ships ASA ("MPCC" or the "Company"), representing approximately 6.19%

of the share capital. The shares were sold through a process managed by

Clarksons Platou Securities AS, DNB Markets, a part of DNB Bank ASA, and

Fearnley Securities AS (the "Managers").

Following completion of the sale, the Vendor will hold 44,314,143 shares in

MPCC, equivalent to approximately 9.98% of the share capital and voting rights.

The Vendor is represented on the Board of Directors in the Company by Laura

Carballo Beautell and Paul Gough as Board Observer and has entered into a

customary lock-up agreement with the Managers for its remaining shares in the

Company valid for 180 days.
