Reference is made to the press release in MPC Container Ships ASA on 22 June 2021 and the closing of the transaction as announced by MPC Containerships ASA today.

Songa Investments AS, a company controlled by Mr. Arne Blystad and his family, has following MPC Container Ships ASA's acquisition of the shares in Songa Container AS been allocated 18,399,438 shares in MPC Container Ships ASA as partial consideration in relation to the transaction.

Following the allocation of the new shares, companies owned and controlled by Mr. Arne Blystad and his immediate family will own 29,378,753 shares, representing 6.62% of the outstanding shares capital and voting rights in MPC Containerships ASA, and has thereby exceeded the 5% threshold. The foregoing calculations are based on 444,051,377 outstanding shares in MPC Containerships ASA after the issuance of the new shares.
