MOTA-ENGIL INFORMS ABOUT THE SIGNING OF A CONTRACT FOR THE COMMERCIALIZATION AND SALE OF CARBON CREDITS

Mota-Engil S.G.P.S., S.A. ("MOTA-ENGIL") informs that, through its subsidiary MAMALAND, it has entered into an exclusive contract for the trading and sale of carbon credits with Trafigura Pte Ltd., one of the world's leading

suppliers and traders of commodities. Additionally, this contract provides for an initial payment of up to US\$100

million, of which 50% will be paid upon signing, for the exclusive right and as an advance payment.

With a duration of 40 years, the contract covers a portfolio of 14 forests located in Malawi, with a total area

of approximately 550,000 hectares, exploited under concession contracts signed with the Government of Malawi.

These forests, throughout the contract period, are expected to generate more than 30 million tons of high-integrity

carbon removal credits, according to the Verra methodology "VM0047" and with CCB certification (Verra ID 5730).

These credits will be traded on the open market, with the proceeds being fully paid to MAMALAND, less than the

marketing commission that Trafigura will be entitled to.

With this contract, MOTA-ENGIL reinforces the visibility and scale of its native species restoration and

agroforestry business in Africa, in which it has been investing in recent years following the acquisition of EMPRESA

AGRÍCOLA FLORESTAL PORTUGUESA (currently known as MAMALAND). Finally, the partnership with a leading global

operator in the market further strengthens MOTA-ENGIL'S active contribution to a sustainable reforestation project in

Malawi, generating benefits for both local communities and the planet.
