Under the terms of the original agreement, MorphoSys collaboration with Bayer was scheduled to last for two years, with an option to extend the collaboration for an additional four years. Bayer exercised their option to extend the agreement, and will continue making license payments to MorphoSys as well as milestone payments and royalties on any resulting antibody products. MorphoSys will generate fully human therapeutic antibodies against up to ten targets provided by Bayer. The first milestone in the collaboration was achieved in February 2001 through MorphoSys generation of a high-affinity antibody against an undisclosed Bayer target. The collaboration agreement also specifies other areas in which the companies will work together using MorphoSys technologies, including genomics research and diagnostics. end of ad hoc announcement (c) DGAP 04.07.2001 ——————————————————————————– WKN: 663200; Index: Nemax 50 Listed: Neuer Markt in Frankfurt; Freiverkehr in Berlin, Bremen, Düsseldorf, Hamburg, Hannover, München und Stuttgart 040713 Jul 01
