SCRIP DIVIDEND SCHEME

In relation to the interim dividend for 2013, the price of a new ordinary share under the scrip dividend alternative has been set at 298.56 pence.  This is the average of the Company's middle market closing price for the five consecutive dealing days commencing on the ex-dividend date of 23 October 2013.

Shareholders who wish to participate in the scrip dividend scheme, and who have not already completed a scrip dividend mandate form, may do so either online at www.capitashareportal.com or by obtaining and completing a scrip dividend mandate form and returning it to the Company's registrars, Capita Asset Services, Corporate Actions, The Registry, 34 Beckenham Road, Beckenham, Kent BR3 4TU.

Scrip dividend mandate forms can be obtained from the Company's registrars at the above address or by telephoning 0871 664 0300 between 9.00am and 5.00pm (GMT) Monday to Friday (from the UK, calls cost 10p per minute plus network extras) or +44 208 639 3399 (from outside the UK). 

Shareholders who hold their shares in CREST and wish to elect to participate must do so by means of CREST procedures.

All elections to participate in the scrip dividend scheme (whether by completing the mandate form or electronically) must be received by the registrars by no later than 5.00pm on 8 November 2013.
