The Company announces that Edward Harley, who joined the Board in 2003, retired as a Director of the Company at the conclusion of its Board Meeting held today.

Karl Sternberg, the Company's Chairman, said: "The Monks Board has benefited from Edward's insight and clarity of thought. He was essential in the strategy reassessment in 2015, which led to a switch of investment teams and approach at Baillie Gifford. When Edward joined the Board in 2003, the Monks share price was 150p. It closed yesterday at 1376p. Over the period, the Company has generated a share price total return of over 900%, comfortably exceeding the index."
