Sottoscritto il primo contratto della propria storia con MG Alba, canale collegato alla BBC in Scozia

20 aprile 2017 –Mondo TV S.p.A. annuncia di aver sottoscritto un nuovo contratto di licenza con la società MG Alba, primario operatore televisivo in Scozia dove opera in partnership con BBC, per un prodotto di terze parti distribuito dalla Mondo TV.

Con il suddetto contratto MG Alba ha acquistato in licenza i diritti c.d. Free-TV oltre che di catch-up per la trasmissione differita su BBC iPlay del programma licenziato fino al 31 dicembre 2021.

Si tratta del primo contratto che la Mondo TV ha sottoscritto con MG Alba nella propria storia: ancorché il contratto data la sua dimensione preveda un corrispettivo in sé non significativo, si segnala che lo stesso rappresenta il primo passo verso il mercato del regno Unito, ad oggi estremamente complesso per il Gruppo Mondo TV e può quindi costituire un gancio strategico per lo sviluppo di nuovo business in tale area.

Mondo TV executed the first agreement of its history with MG Alba, a Scottish channel partnering with BBC

20 April 2017 –Mondo TV S.p.A. informs to have executed a new license agreement with the company MG Alba, one of the leading TV chain in Scotland where it operates in partnership with BBC, for a third party program distributed by Mondo TV.

By this agreement, MG Alba was granted with a license for Free-TV rights, as well as catch-up rights for transmission on BBC iPlay, of the licensed program up to 31 December 2021.

This is the first contract that Mondo TV has signed with MG Alba in its history: even though the contract given its size provides for a non-significant consideration, it is noted that it is the first step towards the UK market, today extremely complex for the Mondo TV Group, and can therefore constitute a strategic starting point for the development of new business in that area.

Mondo TV, listed in the Star segment of Borsa Italiana, has its registered office in Rome and is a Group made up of four companies; the Group is a leader in Italy and among the primary European operators in the production and distribution of television series and cartoon films for TV and the cinema, and is active in the related sectors (audiovisual and musical distribution, licensing, media, publishing and merchandising).
