MONADELPHOUS DIVERSIFIES INTO RENEWABLE ENERGY MARKET

Engineering company Monadelphous Group Limited (ASX:MND) (“Monadelphous” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce it has reached an agreement with renewable energy specialist, ZEM Energy Pty Ltd (“ZEM Energy”), to form a new incorporated joint venture, Zenviron Pty Ltd (“Zenviron”).

Zenviron brings together the complementary strengths of Monadelphous’ multidisciplinary engineering and construction capabilities and ZEM Energy’s technical experience, design capabilities and longterm industry relationships.

Monadelphous Managing Director, Rob Velletri, said the formation of Zenviron is a key milestone in the Company’s strategy to extend services into new infrastructure markets.

“The team at ZEM Energy have extensive experience in the Australian renewables sector, having had direct involvement in close to half of Australia’s 35 large scale wind farm developments. Through our partnership with ZEM Energy, we are well placed to deliver a share of the estimated 6,000 megawatts of new renewable energy capacity to be built by 2020”.

The Company is also pleased to announce that Zenviron has been selected as preferred tenderer for the provision of the Balance of Plant associated with CWP Renewables’ Sapphire Wind Farm, and is well-positioned to capitalise on the growing number of opportunities in the renewable energy markets in Australia and New Zealand.
