Monadelphous Contracts Update

Leading engineering group Monadelphous Group Limited (ASX:MND) (“Monadelphous” or “the company”) today announced it has been awarded two new construction contracts with a combined value of approximately $150 million. The contracts are for work in the oil and gas and iron ore sectors in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The company has secured a contract with BHP Billiton’s petroleum business for structural, mechanical and piping installation works associated with the construction of the onshore gas plant for the Macedon Gas Project near Onslow. The works are scheduled to be completed in the first quarter of calendar year 2013.

Monadelphous has also been awarded a contract for the design and construction of a gas transmission pipeline and associated facilities for the supply of gas from the Goldfields Gas Pipeline to a new power station at West Angelas, near Newman. The contract is with Rio Tinto and associated with its iron ore expansion projects. The works will be undertaken by Monadelphous’s transmission pipelines business KT Pipeline Services in a joint venture with pipeline engineering specialist OSD Pipelines. The contract is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of calendar year 2013.

“These new contracts support the continuing strategic development of our business,” Monadelphous Managing Director Rob Velletri said.

“We are pleased to be working with BHP Billiton on an important WA domestic gas development project.

“We also look forward to working closely with leading pipeline engineer OSD Pipelines on the Rio Tinto West Angelas power project which will support the strategic growth of our transmission pipelines business.”
