MOL takes over municipal waste companies in line with concession terms

MOL Plc. ("MOL") hereby notifies the market of the following:

Based on the terms of the Concession agreement on municipal waste management services between MOL and the Hungarian government, in effect since 1 July 2023, MOL closed today the SPA on the takeover of the central government's shareholdings in 17 municipal waste management companies. The acquisition is in line with MOL's 2030+ Shape Tomorrow strategy by enabling the realisation of synergies in shifting to a more integrated model of waste management services.
