In terms of Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015 and continuation to the aforesaid letter, it is to inform as under:

  • (1) MOIL is operating total eleven mines in Nagpur and Bhandara districts of Maharashtra and Balaghat district of Madhya Pradesh. Out of these eleven mines, seven mines are underground mines and four are open cast mines.

  • (2) Operations at the mines were interrupted due to directions following outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

  • (3) MOIL has taken up various preventive measures at all its offices, mines, plants and residential townships to protect the employees and their families from the spread of the virus.

  • (4) Following the instructions and guidelines issued by various authorities and permissions with respect to commencing the mining/other operations, MOIL has made necessary efforts for resuming mining operations at its mines. As a result of this, mining related activities have been started at mines of the company. Capacity utilisation at this stage is estimated to be around 20%, which will be increased in a phased manner in line with Government’s directives relating to relaxation in social distancing and other norms.

  • (5) MOIL will keep the exchanges informed about the further developments in the matter.

This is for your kind information.

Thanking you, Yours faithfully,

For MOIL Limited
