Director Appointment

Mitchells & Butlers plc is pleased to announce the appointment, with immediate effect, of Mr Dave Coplin to its Board as an independent non-executive director.  Mr Coplin will also join the Audit Committee, Nomination Committee and Remuneration Committee on appointment.

Mr Coplin is an acknowledged expert on the usage of technology in the modern world.  He is currently the Chief Envisioning Officer for Microsoft Limited and an established thought leader on the role of technology in personal and professional lives. For over 25 years he has worked across a wide range of industries and customers, providing strategic advice and guidance around the role and optimisation of technology in the modern society both inside and outside of the world of work. 

Commenting upon the appointment, Bob Ivell, chairman of Mitchells & Butlers said:
