In accordance with the provisions of Listing Rule 9.6.14, Mitchells & Butlers plc announces that Bob Ivell, its non-executive Chairman, has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and senior independent director of AGA Rangemaster Group plc ("AGA Rangemaster"), which is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Mr Ivell's appointment as a non-executive director of AGA Rangemaster is with effect from 1 July 2014.
