MIRVAC EXCHANGES CONTRACTS FOR THE SALE OF COMO CENTRE, SOUTH YARRA, VIC AND 16 FURZER STREET, PHILLIP ACT
Mirvac Group (“Mirvac”) [ASX: MGR] is pleased to announce it has exchanged contracts for the sale of two assets in its Investment portfolio. These include Como Centre in South Yarra, Victoria for a total consideration of $236.5 million[1] and 16 Furzer Street in Phillip, ACT for a total consideration of $68.1 million.
Located on a two hectare site on the corner of Toorak Road and Chapel Street in South Yarra, Como Centre includes 25,700 square metres of A-grade office accommodation, approximately 6,650 square metres of retail, a 111-room hotel and a commercial car park.
16 Furzer Street, also known as Aviation House, is an A-grade building comprising nine levels of office accommodation, a ground level cafe and two levels of basement parking.
Mirvac’s CEO & Managing Director, Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz, commented, “This is an outstanding outcome for the Group, and we are extremely pleased to have achieved these key milestones in our asset sales strategy for FY16, following the sale of 1 Woolworths Way in New South Wales earlier this year.”
Settlement of both Como Centre and 16 Furzer Street is expected in June 2016.
