8 CHIFLEY NOW 70 PER CENT LEASED
Mirvac Group [ASX: MGR] (“Mirvac”) and Keppel REIT are pleased to announce that following an agreement to lease with data, analytics and software company, Quantium, 8 Chifley is now 70 per cent leased.
The seven-year lease will cover 2,594 square metres over levels 6-8 of the 34-storey building which has now achieved practical completion, ahead of schedule and on budget.
Mirvac’s CEO & Managing Director, Susan Lloyd-Hurwitz said joint owners Mirvac and Keppel REIT were delighted to welcome Quantium to the premium grade office tower, joining the other wellestablished and blue-chip corporate tenants.
“This new lease again demonstrates the appeal of 8 Chifley for tenants considering high quality, sustainable offices with adaptive workplace platforms.
“Today’s announcement brings the building to 70 per cent leased and we are pleased with the level of enquiry for the remaining two vertical villages,” said Ms Lloyd-Hurwitz.
Quantium will join law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth and global insurance leader QBE Insurance Group at 8 Chifley. Corrs has leased over 8,000 square metres of space in the building for a 12-year term, while QBE has signed a 10-year agreement to lease the top four floors, representing over 2,800 square metres.
8 Chifley will have its official opening on 29 October 2013.

8 Chifley is a 34-storey premium grade office building located at the junction of Phillip, Hunter Street and Elizabeth Street in the CBD of Sydney, NSW. The tower will comprise approximately 19,360 square metres of net lettable area.
Developed by Mirvac Group and designed by Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners and Lippmann Partnership, the building features a “village” concept where tenants can lease one to three floors of contiguous office spaces which are interconnected and which improve interactivity between its occupants. The building also features a unique five-storey high forecourt space that offers a grand entrance and enlivens the already appealing Chifley Square precinct.
