Westpac Office Trust grants Mirvac Group exclusivity to conduct due diligence

Westpac Funds Management Limited (“WFML”), in its capacity as responsible entity of the Westpac Office Trust (“WOT”) advises that following discussions with a number of interested parties its independent directors have approved the entry into discussions on an exclusive basis for a limited period with Mirvac Group (“MGR”) regarding the potential acquisition by MGR of all of the units and instalment receipts in WOT and has granted MGR exclusivity to conduct due diligence in relation to WOT.

WFML notes that Westpac Banking Corporation (“Westpac”) has also granted Mirvac exclusivity to conduct due diligence in relation to WFML and Westpac’s information relating to WOT.

WFML emphasises that discussions with MGR in relation to WOT are non-binding, confidential and incomplete and that there is no certainty that the discussions will lead to a transaction which the independent directors of WFML will recommend to WOT investors.
