MIRVAC GROUP BOARD APPOINTMENT AND UPDATE TO THE AUDIT, RISK AND COMPLIANCE COMMITTEE

Mirvac Group (ASX: MGR) today announced the appointment of Alan Robert (Rob) Sindel as NonExecutive Director on the Mirvac Board, effective 5 August 2020.

Mirvac Chairman, John Mulcahy, welcomed the appointment and said Rob brings a wealth of knowledge from across the industry.

“Rob has over 30 years of experience obtained from CEO and executive management positions in the construction material and building products industries. He brings a strong understanding of manufacturing, sales and marketing particularly in B2B environments, strategic thinking and a wealth of knowledge on successfully navigating through market cycles.

“In September 2019, Rob stepped down as CEO of CSR Ltd after eight years in the role, where he demonstrated clear ability to restructure and stabilise the business, while actively pursuing opportunities for innovation and disruption. These skills position him well to complement our existing Board, as it supports Mirvac to embrace the opportunities arising from the rapid pace of change that we are seeing across our external environment,” said Dr Mulcahy.

Changes to standing Board Committees

With the resignations of Elana Rubin and John Peters, and the appointment of Rob Sindel on 5 August 2020, the Board has taken the opportunity to review the composition of the Audit, Risk and Compliance Committee (ARCC).

Mirvac Group advises that Jane Hewitt joins the ARCC, joining fellow Board members: James M. Millar AM (ARCC Chair), Christine Bartlett, Peter Hawkins, John Mulcahy and Peter Nash.
