East Pilbara Gold Projects

MinRex commenced exploration on its East Pilbara Gold Project areas in December 2017, with the inaugural program recovering gold nuggets from the Marble Bar North Project (P45/3040)[1] . Assay results for ten rock samples collected from the Marble Bar South Project (P45/3039) were announced in February 2018. In May 2018, an additional 190 samples were subsequently collected, during a large detailed surface geological evaluation and sampling program on all four of the East Pilbara properties, with the results of this work subsequently being announced in June 2018.

During the quarter, MinRex completed the second detailed geological evaluation and sampling program on three of the four East Pilbara Gold Projects that the company holds a 70% interest in. As announced on the 21 August 2018, a detailed field sampling program was completed at the Bamboo Creek Project (E45/4560 and E45/4853), and at both the Marble Bar North (P45/3040) and Marble Bar South (P45/3039) Project areas.

Post September quarter activity

Commencing in early October 2018, an additional phase of field work, by Keystone Gold Pty Ltd, on MinRex’s East Pilbara Gold Projects incorporates visits to all four of the project areas around the Marble Bar (Figure 2). Further metal-detecting along with rock sampling was utilised to better understand these complex gold and possible conglomerate gold mineralised systems. This exploration program will run throughout the month of October with the final results expected in November.

Figure 2: Satellite Image showing MinRex’s four East Pilbara Project Areas

Bamboo Creek Project

A large part of the focus of the August 2018 exploration program was on the two exploration licences that comprise the Bamboo Creek Project. This is a large project area, being several times the size of all of the other East Pilbara Gold Project areas combined, and the large area, remote location and under-explored history of this area combine to make it ideal for more detailed study, sampling and field exploration (Figure 3).

During August 2018, the third detailed geological evaluation and sampling program with a total of 230 rock samples were collected at the Bamboo Creek Project (E45/4560 and E45/4853) including samples from some of the known prospects, such as Norms Find, BC07 and Nobb Well, as well as various outcropping quartz veins and breccia zones. MinRex announced the full assay results for these 230 rock samples, collected at the two Bamboo Creek Project exploration licences.[2]

The results included assay values of up to 22.9g/t Au, 36g/t Ag, 18.5% Cu, 0.20% Cr, 0.15% Ni, 0.12% Pb and 0.28% Zn. The full assay results for gold, base metals, nickel and chrome are listed in Appendix 1, while the better results are shown on the plans at Figures 6, 7, and 8.

Figure 3: Geological map showing the outline of the Bamboo Creek Project area

This Project area is prospective for gold mineralisation of the Bamboo Creek style. The Bamboo Creek goldfield lies just 5-10km to the north and east, and along strike within the Warrawoona Group Greenstones that occur in the northern portion of the exploration licence (Figure 4). There is also potential for the felsic porphyry-hosted base metal and molybdenum mineralization of the Spinifex Ridge (Coppin Gap) type, with the Spinifex Ridge Mo-Cu deposit being just 2km to the west of the northern portion of the exploration licence, occurring within a porphyry intrusion into the Warrawoona Group Greenstone sequence (Figure 5). There is also potential for chrome-nickel mineralization in ultramafic bodies, as at Nobb Hill, as well as anomalism in other as yet unidentified, mineralization styles.

==> picture [411 x 136] intentionally omitted <==

Figure 4: Outcropping Warrawoona Group rocks in the northern portion of E45/4560

The Bamboo Creek gold mining centre was discovered in the 1890’s, before the finds at Marble Bar, and has been active, on and off, for over 120 years, currently being operated by Haoma Mining Ltd. The first gold battery was established at the centre in 1892 and a State gold battery followed in 1913, the centre was historically one of the major gold producers in the Pilbara region, with over 250,000oz of gold mined and recovered. Eight major mines, including the Bulletin Mine and the Bamboo Queen Mine, were developed along the Main Line Reef, with multiple other smaller operations nearby. The nearby Spinifex Ridge molybdenum-copper porphyry deposit also contains a major JORC compliant mineral resource of molybdenum and copper.

Figure 5: Map showing prospect locations in the northern part of the Bamboo Creek Project

At the main Bamboo Creek Project exploration licence (E45/4560) a total of 160 rock samples were collected from multiple areas, including some of the previously identified gold, copper, chrome, nickel and polymetallic prospects including Norms Find, BC07 and Nobb Hill, as well as various outcrop, float and scree zones.

In the northern portion of the exploration licence E45/4560, two assays of over 1.0g/t Au were returned from iron-stained quartz vein rocks, in greenstones, with a further six assays of similar rocks being between 0.1-1.0 g/t Au (Figure 6). These samples are from outcrop and float within Warrawoona Group ultramafic greenstone rocks of the same sequence that hosts the nearby gold mineralization at the main Bamboo Creek mining centre. The bulk of these ultramafic rocks are covered by a blanket of magnesite/calcrete, alluvium and colluvium. These anomalous gold results are considered highly encouraging.

Subsequent to the September quarter end, further exploration programs are underway in the northern section of the E45/4560 exploration licence which will include metal-detecting in gold anomalous areas, along with soil and rock sampling and geological mapping.

Figure 6: Northern part of the Bamboo Creek Project showing all samples collected to date

Further sampling at the Norms Find prospect, also in the northern portion of E45/4560 exploration licence, returned high assay results for gold and copper. On this occasion testing was extended for up to 200m along the defined, north-south striking, quartz vein structure as well as into the hanging wall and footwall felsic and mafic volcanic rocks of the Warrawoona Group. This sampling returned assay values of up to 22.9g/t Au, 36g/t Ag and 18.5% Cu, with three of the assays being over 1g/t Au and 1.0% Cu (Figure 6).

==> picture [355 x 230] intentionally omitted <==

Figure 7: Western part of the Bamboo Creek Project with BC07 prospect area

A number of samples were also collected from sheared and altered felsic volcanic rocks in the northern portion of E45/4560 exploration licence, to test for potential felsic-hosted base metals or molybdenum-copper mineralization, analogous with the nearby Spinifex Ridge molybdenumcopper porphyry deposit. The samples collected to date returned only low values for precious and base metals, but these represent only a small volume of the total felsic rock outcrop areas in the project area. The highest values returned by these samples were 0.23% Cu and 256ppm Zn.

6

MinRex Resources Limited – Quarterly Activities and Cash Flow Report for the Quarter ended 30 September 2018

More samples were also collected at the BC07 prospect area, with the sampling having been extended along this extensive quartz vein system and also into the footwall and hanging wall rocks, which include extensive xenoliths and rafts of greenstones within the roof zone of the Coppin Gap Granodiorite. This sampling in the western portion of E45/4560 exploration licence, returned assay values of up to 0.33g/t Au, 0.81% Cu, 0.20% Zn and 0.11% Pb (Figure 7).

==> picture [395 x 210] intentionally omitted <==

Figure 8: Eastern part of the Bamboo Creek Project with the Nobb Hill prospect area

A number of new samples were also collected at the large, coarse-grained ultramafic intrusion, in the eastern portion of E45/4560 exploration licence, which comprised the Nobb Hill prospect. This prominent hill outcrops in the eastern portion of E45/4560 exploration licence and consists of layered bands of serpentinised peridotite and metapyroxenite, with some talcose alteration zones. Only a few samples have been collected at this prospect and the extent of any differentiation and accumulation of chromite and other metals within the intrusive body is as yet poorly understood. The new sampling returned assay values of up to 0.2% Cr (with half the samples being over 0.1% Cr), 0.15% Ni and 91ppm Co (Figure 8). More systematic and detailed sampling will be required to hone in onto any highly anomalous metal-rich layers within this intrusive body.

At the smaller Bamboo Creek Project exploration licence (E45/4853), a total of 70 rock samples were collected, principally from the locations of two previously defined geophysical target areas. There are no old workings in this exploration licence, which is entirely underlain by granitic rocks, albeit with some xenoliths of greenstone, pegmatite dykes and narrow intrusive felsic dykes. The 70 samples collected on this occasion were from the BC12 and BC13 aeromagnetic target zones, interpreted by a previous explorer of the area during 2007, as possible late-stage magmatic intrusions or alteration zones. The samples returned low assay values, with maximum values of 9ppb Au, 167ppm As, 77ppm Li, 55ppm Pb and 82ppm Zn. The full assay results for gold, base metals, nickel and chrome are listed in Appendix 2, while the better results are also shown on the plan at Figure 9.

Figure 9: EL45/4853 at the Bamboo Creek Project showing August 2018 assay results

Post September quarter activity

On 1 October 2018, the next phase of field work on MinRex’s East Pilbara projects commenced which will again incorporate visits by Keystone Gold Pty Ltd to all four of the project areas around the Marble Bar area. Further metal-detecting along with rock sampling will be utilised to better understand these complex gold and possible conglomerate gold mineralised systems. The exploration program will run through the month of October with the final results expected in November.

Marble Bar North Project

In August 2018, during the third detailed geological evaluation and sampling program, a total of 20 rock samples were collected at the Marble Bar North Project (P45/3040). Many of the samples are from new previously untested areas but also some from other pits and minor old workings at the Ironclad Mine site. The full assay results for these rock samples were announced on the 28 September 2018. The gold mineralisation in this area occurs as quartz veins in sheared and strongly carbonated greenstones, and associated alteration zones, close to the greenstone/granite contact.

The 20 new rock samples from the Marble Bar North Project area were analysed for a total of 20 elements at Bureau Veritas in Perth. These included gold, silver, arsenic, cobalt, copper, chrome, bismuth, iron, lithium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, lead, antimony, tin, tellurium, thorium, uranium, tungsten and zinc. The samples were generally low for most elements, except the gold assays, which varied from zero up to 105.0g/t Au, with an average for all 20 samples of 6.0g/t Au.

8

MinRex Resources Limited – Quarterly Activities and Cash Flow Report for the Quarter ended 30 September 2018

Three of the 20 samples assayed over 1.0g/t Au and 10 assayed over 0.1g/t Au. The full assay results for gold and base metals are listed in Appendix 3, while the gold results are also shown diagrammatically on the plan in Figure 10.

==> picture [331 x 331] intentionally omitted <==

Figure 10: Marble Bar North Project showing workings, nugget finds and all 60 gold assays to date

The highest grade sample (105 g/t Au) came from loose, iron-rich quartz vein material in the spoil pile of a small pit near the granite/greenstone contact and part of the old Ironclad Mine workings. The new samples were collected from throughout the licence area and mainly from areas of scree, float, old dumps and other areas beyond the previous samples which largely focussed on the old workings.

As previously noted, the intention was that the initial exploration of all of the East Pilbara Project areas would include the collection of a large number of rock samples from the areas of old workings, prospects, conglomerate horizons, potential target areas and prospective geological zones and horizons, with these samples then being subjected to multi-element analyses in order to discover the most prospective areas. The plan as per Figure 10 shows the current gold assay results for all 60 rock samples collected at the Marble Bar North Project in 2018, along with the location of old workings and the six gold nuggets recovered from this licence in December 2017.

Post September quarter activity

The fourth program of field work in the East Pilbara has just commenced in October 2018 which will incorporate visits to all four of the project areas in the East Pilbara region. Further metaldetecting along with detailed rock sampling, soil sampling in colluvium and soil covered areas and detailed geological mapping will be utilised to better understand these complex gold, base metal and poly-metallic mineralised systems.

MinRex Resources Limited – Quarterly Activities and Cash Flow Report for the Quarter ended 30 September 2018

Marble Bar South Project

In August 2018, during the third detailed geological evaluation and sampling program, a total of 20 rock samples were collected at the Marble Bar South Project (P45/3039). Many samples were from conglomerate horizons, in the northern sector of the licence and from scree, float and outcrops beyond and around the old workings. This licence contains the old McKays Find Mine and this line of old workings runs along a 30-40m high ridge of greenstone rocks which is truncated to the north by the presence of basal Fortescue Group conglomerate rocks (Figure 11).

==> picture [437 x 187] intentionally omitted <==

Figure 11: Overview photograph (looking northeast) from the old McKays Mine workings into the area of P45/3039 that is underlain by the basal conglomerate and Mt Roe Basalt

The aim of the current work was to commence testing of other parts of the licence, and particularly the conglomerate-bearing areas, for previously undetected gold mineralisation. MinRex announced the full assay results for these rock samples on the 28 September 2018.

The 20 new rock samples from Marble Bar South were analysed for a total of 20 elements at Bureau Veritas in Perth. These included gold, silver, arsenic, cobalt, copper, chrome, bismuth, iron, lithium, manganese, molybdenum, nickel, lead, antimony, tin, tellurium, thorium, uranium, tungsten and zinc. A few samples were anomalous in various elements but the outstanding results were in the gold assays which varied from 2ppb Au up to 37.7g/t Au, with an average for all 20 samples of 2.0g/t Au. The full assay results for gold and base metals are listed in Appendix 4, with the gold results for the 20 samples also shown on the plan in Figure 12.

The highest value sample (37.7g/t Au) came from a loose quartz vein float sample in the north of the licence that may have been transported from higher up on the ridge line (from the McKays Find workings area). More sampling and geological mapping will be required to determine the significance of this sample. Otherwise, generally low results were received for samples taken from within the conglomerate area in the north of the licence area. Although these represent only a small portion of this area and only a small number of samples, further metal-detecting, sampling and mapping work to better understand this area, will be completed on the latest visit to the licence scheduled in October 2018.

Figure 12: Marble Bar South Project showing geology, workings and all 70 gold assays to date

The initial exploration completed on the East Pilbara Project areas included the collection of a large number of rock samples from the areas of old workings, conglomerate horizons, potential target areas and prospective geological zones and horizons, with these samples then being subjected to multi-element analyses in order to discover the most prospective areas. This work will be on-going and in combination with more metal-detecting and detailed sampling to be completed in the lesser explored sectors of the project areas in the next sampling program.

The plan above shows the gold assay results for all 70 rock samples collected at the Marble Bar South Project to date, along with the location of old workings and the generalised geology plan in Figure 12.

During the August-September 2018 East Pilbara exploration program, visits were made to the Bamboo Creek Project area (E45/4560 and E45/4853), Marble Bar North (P45/3040) and Marble Bar South (P45/3039) Project areas. Both of the Marble Bar properties contain old gold mine workings and have returned very encouraging sample assay results in all of the sampling programs completed to date.

Post September quarter activity

The next phase of field work planned during October 2018 on MinRex’s East Pilbara projects will incorporate visits by Keystone Gold Pty Ltd to all four of the project areas around the Marble Bar area. Further metal-detecting along with detailed rock sampling, soil sampling in colluvium and soil covered areas and detailed geological mapping will be utilised to better understand these complex gold, base metal and poly-metallic mineralised systems. This work is now underway, prior to the

summer heat and rain season.

Deflector Extended Gold Project

During late-September and early October 2018, MinRex completed a new detailed geological evaluation and sampling program at its Deflector Extended Gold Project at Gullewa, in the Murchison Goldfields of Western Australia.

MinRex’s Deflector Extended Gold Project (E59/1657) lies to the northeast of the Doray Minerals Limited Deflector Mine, where copper-gold mineralisation occurs in shear zones in meta-basalt, and also the Golden Stream open-cut, where gold was produced from shear-zone hosted quartz veins in meta-basalt.

MinRex has now collected a total of 566 surface rock samples at the Deflector Extended Gold Project with 594 soil samples and 185 auger drill samples, which have defined significant anomalous zones for further examination and sampling. There have also been prior programs of RAB drilling, aircore drilling and soil sampling, by earlier explorers of the area, the results from which support the definition of these anomalous zones. The assay results from the 534 rock samples collected by MinRex, prior to the September-October 2018 program are shown below in Figure 13.

The assay results for the 285 samples collected during September-October 2018 exploration program are expected to be received in November 2018.

Post September quarter activity

The next phase of field work at the Deflector Extended Gold Project will concentrate on the defined anomalous zones, but also will include some further reconnaissance work elsewhere in the exploration licence. It is probable that this work will be completed either later in 2018 or in early 2019.

It is anticipated that the next stage of work at the Deflector Extended Gold Project may include a shallow, vertical aircore drilling program of lines of holes within the anomalous areas. Commencement of the heritage survey process, with archaeological and ethnographic surveys over the proposed drilling areas will be done in late 2018, along with the collection of further surface rock and soil samples, with a view to further pin pointing the most anomalous areas for subsequent drilling. This work will concentrate on the defined anomalous zones, but also will include some further reconnaissance work elsewhere in the Deflector Extended Gold Project.

Heemskirk Tin Project

The Heemskirk Tin Project lies in exploration licence EL18/2011, on the west coast of Tasmania. MinRex has now held its Heemskirk Tin Project since 2012 and has been successful in identifying a number of the old tin workings, dating from the 1870’s-1880’s, and has collected a total of 129 stream sediment concentrate samples, 99 rock chip samples and 78 soil samples, for a total of 306 samples, in a search for large low-grade, or smaller, high to medium-grade tin deposits.

No field work has been completed on the Heemskirk Tin Project in Tasmania, during the current quarter.
