Appointment of director

The Board of Pires Investments PLC announces that Richard Armstrong has been appointed as a non-executive director of the Company with immediate effect.

Richard Armstrong has an interest over 15,113,436 ordinary shares in the Company.

Disclosure pursuant to Schedule 2(g) of the AIM Rules is set out below:-

Mr Armstrong was a director of Crescent Technology Ventures plc, Fortfield Investments plc, CityPoint Investments plc, Holroyd Consultants Limited and Xchange House plc, all of which went into members' voluntary liquidations on a solvent basis.  Bass Energy Pty Limited, an Australian company, is in liquidation.

Mr Armstrong was a director of Bella Media plc, KP Renewables plc (renamed IGas Energy plc), BWA Group plc, Parallel Media Group plc and Weatherly International plc all of which were subject to CVAs. Mr Armstrong joined the boards of the companies concerned in order to assist in the refinancing and reconstruction immediately after the CVAs had been put in place.
