Corporate Description

Mindax's Mt Forrest Iron Project is progressing through development with a view to moving toward mining phase. The company is carefully putting in place necessary approvals and aligning infrastructure partners including rail and port.

Coupled with its significant iron assets, Mindax is also the greenfields discoverer of a new uranium province near Mukinbudin, Western Australia.

Through technically advanced exploration and an eye for detail, Mindax has successfully built a significant portfolio of minerals projects in Western Australia’s Yilgarn Craton of about 40 tenements covering over 4600 sq km.

Mindax aims to develop strategic resources through innovative exploration. Higher yield projects will be moved to production via strategic partnerships.

The Directors of Mindax Limited are pleased to advise that Mr Ken Pettit has accepted an invitation to become a Director of Mindax Ltd ( the Company or Mindax ).

Mr Pettit has been appointed with immediate effect and he will offer himself for election at the Company’s next General Meeting of shareholders.

It has been the view of the Directors of Mindax, as the Company progresses towards the development of the resource at the Mt Forrest Project, that an expansion to the Board membership would be in the interests of shareholders and for some time a process of identifying appropriate candidates for Board appointment has been underway.

Mr Pettit is a distinguished lawyer and senior barrister practicing in Perth. A brief resume of his personal details follows.

New Director Announcement – Ken Pettit: 16th May 2011

Mr Kenneth Pettit SC

Mr Ken Pettit is a senior barrister practicing from Francis Burt Chambers in Perth Western Australia. Mr Pettit joined the independent bar in 1995 and was appointed as Senior Counsel in 2003.

Mr Pettit has 25 years’ experience specialising more recently in the fields of mining, property, planning, native title, commercial and industrial relations law.

Before entering the legal profession, Mr Pettit graduated and worked as a Pharmacist.

Mr Pettit is also a board member of the Diabetes Research Foundation and the Keogh Institute for Medical Research.
