Appointment of the Chief Financial Officer

Mincon Group plc (ESM: MIO, AIM: MCON), the Irish engineering group specialising in the design, manufacture, sale and servicing of rock drilling tools and associated products, notifies that Mr. Mark McNamara, currently Group Financial Controller, is to be appointed Chief Financial Officer from 31st December, 2018.

Mark qualified as a CPA in 2009 and commenced employment in Mincon Group plc in the main Shannon based subsidiary in 2010. He was promoted to Group Financial Controller in 2013 at the time of the IPO, and he was largely responsible then for the documentation and process around the listing.

Subsequent to this, Mark was appointed Company Secretary in March 2017 and has worked closely with the Board since that date supporting the Directors, and the internal Executive of the Group.

Mark holds his primary degree in Information Technology. Mark is an experienced finance professional well known and well regarded inside and outside the Group. This decision to appoint him strengthens the Executive team and facilitates the development of the roles inside the finance function and across the senior leadership.

As CFO, Mark will join the Executive team, who warmly welcome him to his new role and responsibilities. The Board is pleased to make this well-deserved promotion on the recommendation of his colleagues,  and would like to thank Mark for his commitment and work to date.
