July 12, 2011 ASX ANNOUNCEMENT

NEW ASSAYS CONTINUE TO DEMONSTRATE HIGH GRADE RESULTS AT CACATA PROSPECT, CONFIRMING DSO POTENTIAL

Highlights

The latest round of assay results from aircore drilling at the Cacata Prospect included:

  • CCR-U1, from 2 to 18 m, 16m grading 26.3% P2O5 including an interval of 14m grading 28.3% P2O5

  • CCR-U2, from 6 to 23 m, 17m grading 29.1% P2O5 including an interval of 10m grading 32.5% P2O5

  • CCR-W1, from 30 to 56 m, 26m grading 23% P2O5 including an interval of 16m grading 27.9% P2O5

CABINDA PHOSPHATE PROJECT

Emerging phosphate developer Minbos Resources Limited (Minbos) (ASX code: MNB ) is pleased to report the latest round of assay results from the aircore exploration drilling campaign at the Cacata prospect in the Cabinda Province of the Republic of Angola.

These results continue to expand the area of high grade intercepts previously reported for Cacata and continue to confirm the consistency of the grades and thicknesses from the ore body.

Mr Peter Richards, Executive Chairman, Minbos Resources Ltd, commented:

“The Cacata prospect continues to deliver consistently impressive grades and thicknesses. Although still in the exploration phase, Cacata ticks many of the boxes required to be a low capital and low operating cost producer of direct shipping ore (“DSO”) phosphate rock.

The combination of close proximity to road infrastructure and the coast, high grades and thickness of the mineralization, the shallowness of some of the high grade intercepts and their DSO quality, confirms Cacata’s standalone potential as a world class deposit, one that will truly set it apart from many other phosphate rock projects around the world that are at various stages of development.”

Cacata

The Company has received the assay results for a further 6 holes completed at Cacata. The latest assay results confirm the previously defined phosphate mineralization to be present over a strike length of approximately 4.2km and width of approximately 300m. The thickness of the mineralization varies between 1m and 63m with an average thickness of 26m.

To date, Minbos has received results for approximately 60% of the holes drilled. Coffey Mining continues to complete the assay results and analysis of the samples from the remaining holes. Once the analysis on Cacata is completed, the Company expects to provide the market with a JORC compliant resource estimate by early October 2011.

The results reported below were drilled vertically into flat lying phosphatic beds; accordingly the intervals are approximate true thickness.

About Minbos

Minbos Resources Limited is an exploration company focused on the development of phosphate bearing ore within the Cabinda Province of Angola and the adjoining areas of the far western DRC. Through its subsidiaries and joint ventures, the Company is exploring over 400,000ha of highly prospective ground hosting phosphate bearing ore. Minbos is growing its current Inferred Resource base of 117Mt at 13.6% P2O5 in incremental stages as it drills out the known deposits during the first half of 2011.

The Company’s strategy is to specifically target the development of low cost phosphate projects, in order to tap into the growing global demand for fertilisers. Phosphate is an essential component in certain agricultural fertilisers, with the market supported by the increasing global demand for food and bio-fuel products.
