Michelmersh Brick Holdings Plc (AIM:MBH), the specialist brick manufacturer, is pleased to announce the appointment of Stephen Bellamy as Non-Executive Director of the Company with effect from 1 February 2018. Mr Bellamy is a New Zealand qualified chartered accountant.

Stephen Bellamy, aged 58, has extensive experience, as both an executive and a non-executive director, in building and advising businesses on their strategic direction and growth plans. Mr Bellamy is currently a Non-Executive Director of Advanced Medical Solutions Group plc (an AIM quoted surgical and advanced wound care specialist company) and Chairman of Becrypt Ltd (data security and protection technology) and Concirrus Ltd (insurance technology), and a founding partner of Accretion Capital LLP (technology fund management and advice). Mr Bellamy was also formerly Chief Operating Officer and Finance Director of Sherwood International plc and an Executive Director of Brierley Investments' London operations and Chairman of Benefex Holdings Limited.

Martin Warner, Chairman of Michelmersh, said: "We are delighted to have Stephen on board. The Board was keen to bring new experience and knowledge to the Company and Stephen was the stand out candidate. He brings with him first-hand experience of growing businesses, as well as a strong financial background.  His participation will be very helpful as the Company seeks to focus on profitable growth."
