Mr Liu Guoping has been appointed as a Director of Mount Gibson Iron Limited.

Mr Liu is the Vice President of China Railway Materials and Supply Corporation ("CRMSC") a Government owned entity ranked 60^th by revenue in the top 500 enterprises in China. He has strong connections in Government and the steel industry in China, and extensive international trading experience within the USA, Europe, and South America.

Mr Liu will bring to the Company both his network of contacts and his overview of the dynamics of the Chinese steel sector to which Mount Gibson Iron Limited's future growth is strongly linked.

CRMSC and associates hold 5.1% of the Company's share capital.
