Hohenstein-Ernstthal, 5 August 2008 – Roth & Rau AG continued its strong
growth in the first six months of 2008. According to preliminary figures,
Group sales increased by 59.0 percent to kEUR 103,669 (2007: kEUR 65,195).
Earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) rose by 54.1 percent from kEUR
6,859 to kEUR 10,568, which is equivalent to an EBIT margin of 10.2
percent. Group profit increased at a disproportionate rate of 97.2 percent
to kEUR 9,612 (2007: kEUR 4,874). Roth & Rau AG expects this dynamic growth
to continue in the coming months. The 130 percent rise in orders on hand to
kEUR 278,040 as of June 30, 2008 (2007: kEUR 120,888) underpins this
expectation.

Against this background, the Management Board upgraded its sales
projections of the beginning of FY 2008 from EUR 235 million to a minimum
of EUR 250 million. The EBIT margin is projected to reach at least 10
percent.
