Markus Holm appointed Metsä Board's CFO

Metsä Board Corporation Stock Exchange Release 13 September 2013 at noon

M. Sc. (Econ) Markus Holm (46) has been appointed Metsä Board Corporation's
Chief Financial Officer and member of the Management Team as of 1 January 2014.
Holm joins Metsä Board from Metsä Tissue where he has worked as CFO since 2008.
Both Metsä Board and Metsä Tissue are part of Metsä Group.

Holm has extensive experience in financial management in the consumer goods
industry. Prior to Metsä Tissue, he worked as Finance and ICT director at
GlaxoSmithKline plc and in various managerial positions in finance, treasury,
purchasing and investor relations at Huhtamäki Oyj.

Metsä Board's current CFO Matti Mörsky (61) will retire on 28 February 2015.
Until his retirement, Mörsky will continue working for Metsä Board as Senior
Advisor in project tasks assigned by the CEO.
