MERSEN WINS A PLANT CHEMISTRY ORDER WORTH SEVERAL MILLION EUROS

PARIS, OCTOBER 17, 2017 – Mersen (Euronext FR0000039620 – MRN), a global expert in electrical power and advanced materials, has won a new order worth several million euros from Australian company Cotton Seed Distributors (CSD), specialist in and sole supplier of cotton planting seed for the Australian market.

The order will see Mersen supply a turnkey hydrochloric acid production unit that will be integrated into a seed treatment process developed by CSD.

The modular system proposed by Mersen was developed in close collaboration with CSD, enabling the Group's engineers to design the best solution to match the industrial company's performance and yield requirements. It also has the distinguishing feature of being able to limit water and energy consumption.

Designed and manufactured at the factory in Pagny-sur-Moselle, the unit will be commissioned with the help of Mersen's engineering teams and is scheduled to go into operation in May 2018.
