Mersen receives Siemens "Top Supplier" award in the category "Best Technology"

Paris, July 1, 2013 - Mersen (Euronext FR0000039620 – MRN), a global expert in materials and equipment for extreme environments and for the safety and reliability of electrical equipment, has received the "Top supplier" award 2012 in the category "Best Technology" from the Siemens Large Drives location in Nuremberg, Germany. Mersen prevailed against more than 1,000 suppliers in this category.

Siemens gave the award to Mersen for its cooling technology designed and produced for power electronics in inverters, which control for example the motors in the drive train of ICE high-speed trains. Mersen develops highly efficient cooling geometries in liquid cooling systems which guarantee an extremely low thermal resistance and ensure a very low pressure drop. In addition, Mersen's vacuum brazing technology ensures maximum reliability and a very long service life.

This prize is the result of a partnership over more than 10 years between the two groups. It is a motivation to further develop value-added products and components for the continuous benefit of Mersen's customers. It also strengthens Mersen's positioning as a leading partner to the power electronics industry.
