Alastair Gornall appointment as new Chairman of Dods Group plc

Dods (Group) plc ("Dods"), the leading political communications business, announces the appointment of Alastair Gornall to the role of Chairman. On 3 September 2013 he will join the Board, initially as a non-executive director. Kevin Hand will stand down as Chairman at the Annual General Meeting on 26 September 2013.

Alastair Gornall brings to the Board extensive experience in the media, communications and exhibitions industry. Following three years with BusinessWeek magazine in the USA, he returned to London where he founded and grew two award winning public relations businesses, building a successful team who eventually acquired the business through a management buy-out. He then spent nearly six years as Chief Executive Officer of Reed Exhibitions Ltd where he ran and developed a global portfolio of 45 leading trade shows. He is currently Chairman of Blue Rubicon, the UK's leading corporate reputation consultancy.

Alastair is also Chair of Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust and a Trustee of SSAFA - an armed forces charity.

In the past five years he has also been a director of: Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust Trading Limited; Smithfield Consultants Limited; Reed Exhibitions Limited; Fresh Montgomery Limited; RX Business Continuity Limited; Reed Events Limited; and The Association of Event Organisers Limited.

No further information is required to be disclosed pursuant to paragraph (g) of Schedule 2 to the AIM Rules for Companies.
