SpermSep Collaboration with University of Newcastle
– SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA – 27[th] September 2010 NuSep (ASX: NSP), a life sciences company with a 30 year heritage in biological separations and the developer of the IVF SpermSep, announced today its intended further ongoing collaboration with the University of Newcastle and Professor R. John Aitken.
This additional work will expand the application of the SpermSep into the animal market. Applications in the animal market range from animal husbandry to specific IVF applications for endangered species.
In the meantime, NuSep continues work on the final disposable cartridge for the human SpermSep instrument. It is expected that the final pre market clinical trials of the human SpermSep will commence by the end of this calendar year, with first commercial sales expected in 2011.
Professor John Aitken is also the chairman of NuSep’s recently established Scientific Advisory Committee.
As part of this further collaboration between NuSep and the University of Newcastle, 70,000 listed 35 cents listed options expiring September 2012 have been issued to the University of Newcastle.
NuSep’s Managing Director, Dr Hari Nair, said “This further collaboration with the University of Newcastle is an important step in bringing the SpermSep to market in both the human and animal fields.”

Separation Instruments – NuSep has developed two unique biological separation instruments.
